Ash Wednesday Park

Nestled in the heart of Macedon, this park is set in a natural bush environment and features play equipment suitable for both toddlers and older children.

Shaded by mature trees, the park offers plenty of natural cover along with open space that encourages creative play and exploring.

To support its future growth and development, a master plan was created in collaboration with the community and was adopted by Council on 1 May 2020.

Ash Wednesday Park Playground Upgrade

Since the completion of the Ash Wednesday Park Master Plan in 2019, Council has invested $150,000 in implementing the plan, with completed works to date including:

  • Development of a stage, with seating and power
  • Complete redevelopment of the playground.

The playground redevelopment complements the development of the new flying fox that was instigated by the Macedon and Mount Macedon Business and Tourism Association, and funded by the Bendigo Community Bank.

The pathway works were completed in April 2023.

Dogs must be on leash at all times unless in a designated off leash area. You must pick up and dispose of your dog’s waste in a bin. Dogs must be under effective control and never left unattended.
