The Fire Danger Period for Macedon Ranges Shire started at 1am on Monday 17 November until further notice. During this time, no fire may be lit in the open air without a permit.

Established in 1858 the Kyneton Botanic Gardens is home to a remarkable collection of mature specimen trees with 17 recognised by the National Trust of Australia.
Visitors can enjoy heritage features such as bluestone garden walls, a striking wrought iron main gate, a historic 1902 drinking fountain, a beautifully restored gardener’s cottage, and a scenic riverside walk along the Campaspe River. The gardens also include a charming rotunda and a whimsical fairy ring of trees.
The site is also home to the Kyneton Community Park, offering an inclusive, nature-based play and water park experience designed for all ages and abilities.
Dogs are welcome, provided they are on a lead.

Dogs must be on leash at all times unless in a designated off leash area. You must pick up and dispose of your dog’s waste in a bin. Dogs must be under effective control and never left unattended.
