Power to Care is a community-led organisation dedicated to supporting unpaid carers through advocacy, connection, information and peer support. Recognising that caring can often feel isolating, Power to Care provides opportunities for carers to come together, share experiences and build meaningful social connections with others who truly understand the caring role. One of these opportunities is the monthly Coffee for Carers catch up, held on the first Friday of every month at 10.30am at Coffee Stat in Gisborne. The informal gathering offers carers a welcoming and relaxed space to connect over coffee, access peer support, reduce social isolation and strengthen their sense of community.
