Woodend, Old Lancefield Road - Road Reconstruction

Council secured federal government grant funding under the Infrastructure Investment Program to upgrade Old Lancefield Road, Woodend.

Stage 1, covering the section from Savages Lane to Manifold Road, has been completed.

The project included:

• full road reconstruction between Manifold Road and Savages Road
• concrete kerb and channel, and underground drainage
• completion of missing footpath link between Manifold Road and High Street via Romsey Road   
• improved roadside signage.

Under Stage 2, the section from Romsey Road to Savages Lane will be upgraded, including full pavement reconstruction.

Works are scheduled to commence in March 2026 and are expected to be completed by June 2026.
