Kyneton, Simpson Street - Footpath Construction

Council is delivering footpath renewal works on Simpson Street, Kyneton, between Powlett Street and Wedge Street.

As part of the project, approximately 215 metres of the existing asphalt footpath will be renewed with a new 1.5-metre-wide concrete footpath. The works will also include upgrades to connect the new footpath with existing pram ramps at adjoining intersections, improving continuity and accessibility along the route.

These upgrades will improve pedestrian accessibility, safety and connectivity, while providing a more durable and accessible footpath network.

The works are funded through Council's Capital Works Renewal Program 2026/27.

The project is currently in the design phase and construction dates will be published once the works have been awarded.

Minor delays are expected during the works. Please allow extra time if travelling in the area.
