Kyneton - Pipers Creek Road and Batters Lane Intersection Upgrade

Safety upgrade works at the intersection of Pipers Creek Road and Batters Lane have been completed.

These works were undertaken to address long-standing safety concerns at the intersection, which has a history of crashes due to high westbound traffic volumes and limited visibility.

The project, funded through the 2024/25 Australian Government Black Spot Program, included key safety improvements such as:

  • installation of an electronic flashing ‘Give Way Ahead’ Sign
  • installation of a traffic island
  • clearer lane lines and reflective markers to guide traffic and alert drivers of upcoming road intersection
  • vegetation trimming

These upgrades were designed to increase driver awareness, improve visibility, and enhance overall traffic safety.

Street lighting work is currently underway. One street light has been successfully installed, and installation of the second unit is in progress.
