Maintenance works are underway at the culvert near 205 Aitken Street, Gisborne (approximately 30m from Pinelea Grove) and are expected to be completed by the end of June 2026.
The works may include concrete repairs, joint repairs, regrouting, debris and vegetation removal, and scour protection (for example, rock beaching and concrete cut-off walls where required). During construction, there may be temporary traffic or access changes, short-term noise, and the presence of workers and machinery. Council will aim to minimise disruption while completing essential repairs.
As part of Council’s annual Major Bridge and Culvert Works Program, we carry out bridge and culvert inspections and repairs across the shire. This helps keep these structures safe and accessible for the community.
