Council is delivering road widening and reconstruction works on Burke and Wills Track, Baynton, between Annek Lane and Sidonia Road.
As part of the project, approximately 765 metres of the existing narrow road will be widened and reconstructed from a 5-metre-wide carriageway to a 7.6-metre-wide carriageway. The works will also include roadside drainage improvements and upgraded roadside signage where required.
These upgrades will improve road condition, drainage performance and safety for all road users, while providing a wider and more resilient road corridor.
The project is funded through the Australian Government's Roads to Recovery Program.
The project is currently in the design phase and construction dates will be published once the works have been awarded.
Minor delays are expected during the works. Please allow extra time if travelling in the area.
