Romsey Soccer Oval Expansion

The Macedon Rangers Soccer Club was formed in 2019 and continues to experience growth, creating an ongoing need for fit-for-purpose soccer facilities in Romsey.

The planning and detailed design phase for the proposed Romsey Park Community Oval expansion has now been completed. The project is ready to progress to the delivery phase subject to securing suitable funding opportunities.

 The completed design scope includes:

  • Expansion of the existing Romsey Park Community Oval playing surface to accommodate a full-size soccer pitch.
  • Formalisation and extension of the existing car park to approximately 80 spaces.
  • Extension of the pathway to the western side of the oval, including two shelters with concrete bases.
  • Construction of a new soccer goal storage compound.
  • Realignment of the oval perimeter fencing.
  • Installation of 150-lux LED sports field lighting.

The completed plans and supporting documentation provide Council with a shovel-ready project that can be progressed when suitable external funding opportunities become available.
