Exciting improvements for Kyneton's dog-loving community are about to get underway at Hurry Reserve (former velodrome).
Following Council's successful funding application through the Victorian Government's New and Upgraded Dog Parks Program, works will start in the coming weeks to create a safer, more accessible and more enjoyable space for dogs and their owners.
From Thursday 16 July, construction fencing will be installed, temporarily restricting public access to the former velodrome and adjacent car park while works are underway.

The project responds to community feedback seeking improvements to local dog parks and supports Council's commitment to responsible pet ownership.
Works are scheduled to be completed by mid-September 2026.
A formal opening event is being planned by DEECA, towards the end of September.
