The Woodend Five Mile Creek has been the subject of extensive community-based restoration for over twenty years, led by the Woodend Landcare Group with the support of Council and the North Central Catchment Management Authority.
This work has significantly improved the environmental assets of the creek and surrounds, primarily via woody weed control and revegetation.
The master plan will guide habitat restoration projects, support grant applications and inform infrastructure needs to improve accessibility to the creek for a broad range of recreational activities.
