Back in the Game program

Council is offering a free series of modified physical activity sessions for seniors in Romsey and Woodend as part of the Back in the Game program.

Back in the Game is a modified indoor sports program endorsed by the Council Of The Ageing (COTA) and aimed at local residents 65 years and over who are currently physically inactive.

The program aims to improve the physical wellbeing and quality of life of older people, and provide opportunities to connect socially in a fun and friendly environment. Council is committed to improving the health and wellbeing of residents, especially older members of our community, and promoting the benefits of a healthy and active lifestyle.

Modified activities include:

  • walking soccer
  • walking netball
  • balloon volleyball
  • table tennis
  • and more.

Free transport to and from the sessions is available, and a healthy morning tea is provided free of charge.

Registrations are essential. For more information or to register your interest, call 0418 992 556  or email
