Autumn 2020 plans
Council has made changes to the autumn management plan following the outbreak of coronavirus COVID-19.
We are actively encouraging visitors and residents to avoid the area and will be communicating this message via our social media channels, visitmacedonranges.com and on roadside messaging boards in Macedon.
Council has cancelled the shuttle bus, visitor information booth, community food stalls and additional parking, as part of our response to help limit the spread of COVID-19. Additionally, most local venues, gardens and businesses will also be limiting service or closed due to federal government requirements.
Some of the traffic management measures will still be maintained as a precaution should visitors still come to the area. The reduced traffic management measures include:
- Speed reduction to 40km/hr along Honour Ave and its approach along Mount Macedon Road
- Closing Honour Avenue to visitor traffic between Mount Macedon Road and Waterfalls Road (9am-5pm weekends and public holidays only) - locals will be let through by traffic management personnel
- No stopping zone along Honour Avenue, Waterfalls Road and Manorina Way - to remain in place for full five weeks
- Overflow parking at Tony Clarke Reserve, if required.
The above measures will be assessed on a day-to-day basis, and modified where required.
