The Victorian School Building Authority (VSBA) and Macedon Ranges Shire Council will fund a new kindergarten to be located at the Kyneton Primary School site. The new facility will provide 66 places and children attending Lady Brooks Kindergarten will move to the new kindergarten site in early 2022. Maternal and Child Health and Kyneton Toy Library services will remain at Hutton Street.
The two-room Lady Brooks Kindergarten is positioned within a beautiful, natural outdoor environment that reflects all seasons of the year. It is centrally located with the Maternal and Child Health Centre and Kyneton Toy Library just off Mollison Street.
Learning experiences at Lady Brooks Kindergarten are based on children's needs, interests and abilities and are carefully planned by qualified early childhood educators. Play is the major tool for teaching and learning. We provide open-ended experiences that give all children the opportunity to explore and investigate and develop their imagination, creativity, knowledge and skills.
Lady Brooks Kindergarten will be teaching Auslan to children in their kindergarten program in 2019-2022 for up to three hours per week. Made possible by funding from the Department of Education.
