Electronic Music Adventure

Next date: Tuesday, 28 September 2021 | 10:00 AM to 01:00 PM

Image of child immersed in play

This workshop is a highly immersive and interactive creative music making experience. Participants will learn how to collect and manipulate sounds using intuitive apps on tablets and iPads.

Children will explore using modular instruments and midi-mapped controllers. Transforming everyday objects into instruments through touch sensors.

Once participants have spent time exploring their own unique sonic worlds, they are guided into a group performance/improvisation session. This will be recorded and made available to them as a downloadable finished work.

They will float away from this experience with a head full of musical ideas and the knowledge and apps to go on creating their own soundtracks.

This project allows participants use their imagination to manipulate sounds to make music, right now.

The children get to be a part of the real world where music is accessible to everyone. The students can use smart phones, recorders, apps and can do it at home.
