Macedon Ranges Skateparks

  • Project value$90,000
  • Project scheduleCompleted
  • Completion Date30 November 2023

Council manages and maintains five skate parks across the Macedon Ranges:

Council allocated funding in its 2021/22 Budget to review existing skatepark facility provision and develop a shire-wide skatepark strategic direction document. The document will identify and guide the planning for any future development or renewal works at Council’s skateparks.

In addition to this shire-wide skatepark strategic direction project, Council also funded a separate feasibility concept design at the Gisborne Skatepark to consider a possible future extension of this facility, as well as some minor repair works at the Kyneton Skatepark.

  • Macedon Ranges Skateparks Strategic Directions $15,000 (total $50,000 over 2 years)
  • Gisborne Skatepark expansion feasibility concept $30,000
  • Kyneton Skatepark minor repairs $10,000

The above skate park projects have been funded through Council’s 2021/22 Budget and are all now complete, including the development and endorsement of the Macedon Ranges Shire Skate and BMX Strategy in November 2023.
