Macedon Ranges Skate Parks

  • Completion Date30 June 2023

Council manages and maintains five skate parks across the Macedon Ranges:

Council allocated funding in its 2021/22 budget to review existing skate park facility provision and develop a Shire-wide skate park strategic direction document.  The document will identify and guide the planning for any future development or renewal works at Council’s skate parks.

In addition to this Shire-wide skate park strategic direction project, Council has also funded a separate feasibility concept design at the Gisborne Skate Park to consider a possible future extension of this facility, as well as some minor repair works at the Kyneton Skate Park.

Macedon Ranges Skate Parks Strategic Directions $15,000 (total $50,000 over 2 years)

Gisborne Skate Park expansion feasibility concept $30,000

Kyneton Skate Park minor repairs $10,000

The above skate park projects have been funded through Council’s 2021/22 budget.

Planning is currently underway for these projects to be delivered across the 2021/22 and 2022/23 financial years. User groups and the community will be invited to provide input into these projects as they each progress.

Anticipated completion date is June 2023.
