Published on 24 September 2020

Hanging Rock Reserve will reopen from Saturday 26 September, in time for the second half of the school holiday period.

Some restrictions will be in place to maintain a COVID-safe environment including:

  • Limits on visitor numbers – once the designated number of visitors is reached, the reserve will close. If you propose to visit, please do so early.
  • Some areas of the reserve including the Discovery Centre and the top of the summit walk will remain closed to the public.

Visitors to the reserve are asked to practice good hand hygiene, wear face masks, maintain appropriate physical distancing and to stay home if they are unwell. Increased cleaning of facilities will be in place.

Normal entry fees will apply. For more information, visit Hanging Rock or call (03) 5422 0333.

The Hanging Rock Café will also re-open on certain days from Sunday 27 September under modified arrangements to normal. For up-to-date information, like the café on Facebook or Instagram
