Community feedback sought for Woodend Community Centre redevelopment
Published on 16 February 2021
Locals are invited to give feedback on the proposed Woodend Community Centre Redevelopment Draft Master Plan. The Woodend Community Centre redevelopment aims to build a creative destination in Woodend that serves the varied needs of the community.
Council recognises the strong community drive to revitalize the Woodend Community Centre and acknowledges the work and support of the Woodend community which has driven the project to its final phase of public consultation.
The draft master plan incorporates feedback from previous community consultation to explore options for a modern, multipurpose community service precinct.
Feedback and findings from this round of community consultation, along with best practice technical advice, will inform the final business case and master plan.
“Council would like to acknowledge and thank the individuals and groups from the Woodend community who have contributed to the development of the draft plan so far,” said Angela Hughes, Director Planning & Environment.
“Now more than ever, we need to know what the community needs and wants from upgraded facilities at the Woodend Community Centre.”
Feedback submissions are open from Monday 15 February 2021, closing 5pm Monday 15 March 2021.
You can view the draft master plan online at Your Say.
Pending the easing of COVID-19 restrictions, you will also be able to view the draft master plan in person at Council’s customer service offices, the Woodend Library or at one of the community drop in sessions.
Community drop in sessions will be held on Monday 22 February 2021 5-7pm at the Woodend Community Centre, Wednesday 24 February 2021 4-6pm at the Woodend Community Centre, Saturday 6 March 2021 8am-1pm at the Woodend Farmers Market.
