Municipal Emergency Management Plan Review

We are reviewing our Municipal Emergency Management Plan.

Every council in Victoria is required to have a Municipal Emergency Management Plan (MEMP) and review it every three years.

The plan outlines the arrangements for the planning, response and recovery from significant emergencies – such as storms, floods and fires – for our shire.

Council, emergency services and partners all play a role in developing the plan, as organisations that have a huge role to play in emergency management locally.

The plan is also aimed at capturing the unique needs of the local community and how resilience, households and businesses play a role.
