How would you like to engage with us?

The closing date for submissions has been extended until Sunday 20 December.

How would you like to engage with Council?

We’d like to know what you think of Council’s new draft Community Engagement Policy which covers when, why and how Council will consult with the community.

Consultation is the process by which Council gathers information to make decisions that impact on the community.

Council is committed to clear and meaningful consultation and we want your input to ensure the policy reflects community’s needs and expectations.

Under the new Local Government Act 2020 must adopt a community engagement policy which gives effect to the community engagement principles and also details that Council will use deliberative engagement methods in creating at least four key documents.

Following a review of community feedback, the draft policy will be reviewed and presented to Council for adoption at a future Council meeting.

You may wish to attend an online webinar to find out more about the policy and ask any questions.

The next webinars will be held on:

  • Monday 14 December at 6pm
  • Tuesday 15 December at 11am

To register your interest, please fill out the form below.

Online webinars were held on 12 and 13 November so community members could find out more about the policy and ask any questions. Additional webinars are also scheduled during December. See 'Ask questions at a webinar' section on this page for more information.

If you missed or can't attend the webinars, a recording is available to view.
