Residents are invited to have their say on the draft Gisborne Business Park Development Plan, which proposes strategies to grow employment and business opportunities for the area.
The draft plan sets a strategic direction for expansion of the existing business park, to extend to the Saunders Road frontage. It aims to provide direction for attracting diverse businesses to the park, suggests a new attractive, landscaped setting, and proposes planning scheme controls to guide the future design and development of the site.
A significant landscaping setback is planned along Saunders Road with commercial uses proposed to be located along the expanded business park’s Saunders Road frontage. These commercial uses may include such businesses as trade supplies, furniture, commercial offices and electrical goods which require large format premises which are currently difficult to accommodate in the existing Gisborne town centre.
