Council’s Cool Changes program supports communities in the Macedon Ranges Shire to respond to climate change and develop local climate action plans.
It is an opportunity to strengthen projects, programs and connection already forged as well as create a big picture vision for what you want to see happen into the future.
Everyone can be a part of local action to protect biodiversity and address climate change.
The program has been tried and tested with Community Climate Action Plans being creating in Malmsbury, Woodend, Romsey and Lancefield. In 2022, the program will focus on Gisborne and Riddells Creek.
In future, these Community Climate & Resilience Action Plans will be used when creating a shire-wide Climate Emergency Response Plan.
