Amendment C127 - Macedon Ranges Shire Heritage Study

Council is committed to improving our built environment by protecting places of heritage significance.

The Macedon Ranges Shire Heritage Study: Woodend, Lancefield, Macedon and Mount Macedon Stage 2 Final Report 4 April 2019 documented a number of significant places in the shire and the study was adopted by Council on 24 April 2019.

Amendment C127macr implements the adopted study by placing the Heritage Overlay on 32 places. The Heritage Overlay protects the significance of these places and their importance to the history of Macedon Ranges for our community now, and in to the future.

Please note that all submissions to the amendment become public documents and will be available for viewing during the amendment process. Collection and display of your private information in the submission will be handled in accordance with Council’s Privacy Policy

Submissions may be referred to a Planning Panel for consideration. The Panel will then provide independent expert advice to Council on whether or not the amendment should proceed. If no submissions are received, the amendment will proceed directly to a Scheduled Meeting of Council for a final decision.
