Council usually hosts grant writing workshops each March in the lead-up to its annual grants program. In 2021, one face-to-face workshop was hosted at Woodend Community Centre and the other held via webinar.
Led by an expert facilitator, these sessionsto support local organisations and groups. Participants learn how to navigate project planning and make applications for various funding opportunities, not just Council grants.
All workshops are designed for volunteers with limited or no experience in writing grants. Council officers are on hand to answer any questions to explain the annual grants guidelines, criteria and online grants application forms.
