Council is please to be able to offer some resources to help community members be more successful in their grant seeking.
Council hosted two successful grant writing workshops in March 2021 as part of its annual grants program for 2021-22. These sessions are provided to support local organisations and groups in making applications for various funding opportunities, not just Council grants.
Local facilitator Jenny Holliday from the Non Profit Training group led a face-to-face workshops at the Woodend Community Centre as well as a popular Webinar Workshop.
All sessions were designed for volunteers with limited or no experience in writing grants. Council officers were also on hand to answer any questions to explain the annual grants guidelines, criteria and online grants application forms.
Applications are now open for the Community Funding Scheme, Events & Festivals grants program and additional COVID-19 funding streams for 2021-22.
So read the guidelines and plan your project idea now. If you missed out on the workshop, check our online resources to guide your application efforts.
