Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme

More than just making a difference

Council are addressing social isolation by supporting volunteers to enhance the wellbeing of older people in the community.

Older people deserve every opportunity to connect, however ageing can impose barriers that impact an individual’s social connections.

The Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS) is funded by The Australian Government and is a FREE service to those eligible.

Becoming an aged care volunteer visitor can be a rewarding and life-changing experience. By giving back to your community you are making a positive impact on the lives of those who need it.
