A unique opportunity is available for a confident, enthusiastic and experienced individual to lead the Business Support team in the Engineering and Resource Recovery unit.
Reporting to the Manager, Engineering and Resource Recovery you will supervise and manage the Business Support team in the daily operations of the unit to effectively manage and ensure that all business objectives are delivered in accordance with the key Council objectives. You will coordinate the delivery of tasks in an efficient manner and ensure that work produced by the team meets defined quality standards. You will achieve this by providing effective leadership, direction, planning and staff development. You’ll review existing business processes and systems, develop and implement new initiatives leading to continuous improvement of the business support function.
Additionally, you will provide executive support to the Manager across a broad range of functions in order to support the delivery of key processes and frameworks, achieving exceptional business outcomes. You will be a key person supporting unit Coordinators meet their responsibilities and timelines, and will engage with key stakeholders to ensure the unit is delivering in accordance with Council’s strategic and broader business objectives.
Highly organised with a strong customer service delivery focus, you are able to communicate and work well with all stakeholders and colleagues, and prioritise tasks ensuring timelines are met without compromising quality standards.
