Malmsbury Botanic Gardens

Warning

Grey-headed flying-foxes have recently set up camp at the gardens. If you see an injured or unwell flying-fox on the ground do not approach it - instead call Wildlife Victoria 03 8400 7300. No touch = no risk. The are here temporarily due to food shortages up north. They are likely to move on and go back up north once the cold weather hits.

Malmsbury Botanic Gardens-poplars

Established in the 1850s, these gardens are one of Victoria’s earliest regional botanic gardens, encompassing a wonderful collection of trees and shrubs.

The central focal point of the gardens is the ornamental lake with the formed island at its centre.

Dogs must be on leash at all times unless in a designated off leash area. You must pick up and dispose of your dog’s waste in a bin. Dogs must be under effective control and never left unattended.
