| Domestic Animal Management Plan | | The Macedon Ranges Shire Council Domestic Animal Management Plan has been prepared to enable Council to work with the community to best manage domestic animals and improve outcomes in the Municipality.
This plan is required to address State legislation and to comply with Section 68A of the Domestic (Feral and Nuisance) Animals Act 1994. This Plan will ensure a rational, adaptable and consistent approach to animal management issues within the boundaries of the Macedon Ranges Shire.
The Plan aims to increase the outcomes of humane animal management by strategic planning, adequate resourcing and ongoing evaluation, resulting in measurable improvements in animal welfare, compliance and responsible domestic animal ownership. The objectives include creating an environment for responsible and peaceful domestic animal management and to inform and educate the community.
