National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

Overview

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a national program that is providing a new way of delivering services and support to people under 65 who live with a permanent and significant disability.

The rollout of the NDIS in the Macedon Ranges started on 1 May 2017.

Accessing the NDIS

If you wish to participate in the NDIS, you must first be assessed against the access requirements. The questions in the NDIS access checklist will help you work this out.

Contact details and other information is available on the NDIS website.

Intereach

Intereach, in partnership with the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA), is gearing up to meet demand for the NDIS in the Macedon Ranges.

Intereach will deliver Local Area Coordination (LAC) services for the NDIS. Local Area Coordinators are skilled at working with people who have all kinds of disability as they transition to the NDIS.
