Meals on Wheels are nutritionally balanced and include soup, main meal, side vegetables, dessert and a piece of fruit. Pre-cut, softer, pureed foods and special dietary needs foods are available.
Meals are delivered chilled, ready to heat and eat. Deliveries are on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays depending on your location in the shire.
If you have not accessed this service before, and are aged over 65, please call My Aged Care on 1800 200 422.
If you are aged under 65 please call Council on 5422 0333.
Our community support workers will help you to prepare meals at home by helping you with basic food preparation, such as peeling and chopping vegetables.
This program reconnects neighbourhoods through the sharing of delicious food by matching an older neighbour with a cook who will deliver a home cooked meal.
Cooks undergo police and food safety checks and may participate as often as they like, and can opt out at any time.
